The second NeuroGEN roundtable discussion was successfully held from 19th to 20th August in London UCL School of Pharmacy. In this roundtable discussion, we laid out NeuroGEN’s future plan specifically on neurodegenerative diseases in 3 categories: epidemiology of dementia, hypothesis testing studies related to dementia, and machine learning modelling.

The first NeuroGEN roundtable discussion was held in late 2018. Several proposals were discussed and the consortium is preparing the first manuscript on “Global trends of survival of people with clinical diagnosis of dementia“ to be submitted to a peer-reviewed journal. Following this success, the consortium is now keen to apply for research grants to conduct big data research using multi-country databases in the area of neurodegenerative diseases and psychiatry disorders.
